CFS Release 2020-11-17 (v4.7.7)

CFS Release 2020-11-17 (v4.7.7)

Here's a summary of the things we've been working on in the last few weeks

We're going to be rolling out the latest version of CFS today, should you have any questions about these new features or how bug fixes have been implemented please contact daniel@durell.co.uk, or create a support ticket at support.durell.co.uk.

Please note
We have made some changes in this update that require settings to be updated - firstly, we've revamped the privilege settings for elevated question set fields, there is no longer a "Show super user fields" option, and instead there's a new "Privileges" dropdown, with options "None", "Adviser", "Elevated" and "Super". Previously the None & Adviser values were based on whether the user was logged in as an adviser or not and not definable. The "Elevated" option is brand new, and the "Super" option replaces the previous "Show super user" option. The new option has defaulted to "None" for all systems, therefore  if you have any adviser-only or super-user only fields on your question set, you will need to reconfigure your profiles to continue to see the questions in the question set. If you have any questions or concerns about how to set this option please contact daniel@durell.co.uk

We've also made a change to the way in which insurer-level postcode rates are defined within a timestamped matrix, whereas previously the setting was single, it's now multiple & edited by a list control. We have migrated all settings from the single item to the list items, so no further action is required at this stage, but should you have any concerns about this please contact olaf@durell.co.uk

2020-11-17 (v4.7.7)

  • Major - you can now choose to hide the question set based on event (New business, MTA & Renewal) based on the profile being used. Controlled via the default scheme level option "Show question set at.." and then overridden by the profile level "how question set at (overrides).." option, this means you can hide the question set at renewal (for example) for non-logged in users (or users without specific rights).
  • Major - in partnership with our sister company - ProCloud Solutions -  we're now able to offer cheaper storage for Durell based documents (non CFS generated) based on using network attached drives, the CFS comms backend now supports document access via a UNC (network) path. For more information on how this works or how you might benefit from this please contact simon@procloudsolutions.co.uk
  • You can now access removed addons within the admin dashboard export / EDI messaging, allowing greater transparency on addons that are removed at MTA.
  • The addons in the addon EDI block are now consistent between UI and API calls for take-up event transitions.
  • Improved stability of the renewal and policy dashboard data queries.
  • It's now possible to trigger matrix factors based on the current outcome of the quote (i.e. accept/refer/decline) using the new field $CurrentQuoteOutcome - this should make email template & document template definitions easier to manage.
  • The insurer fee ARF is now correctly factored into the discount % breakdown calculations (accessed via the > button in the Durell premium screen).
  • Documents generated & set to automatically download for renewal reminders now correctly download rather than opening in the browser.
  • Lists are now correctly locked when a question set is locked for referral purposes.
  • Free-format endorsement is now shown to end-users after being added by advisers.
  • Schema labels in the menu have been improved to prevent line-wrapping of long scheme names.
  • Stability of multi-user sessions in web garden environments has been improved.
  • The single endorsement fields on the admin dashboard export will now work whether the endorsement field is added or not.
  • Fixed multiple ARF override quirks in relation to the premium breakdown display surrounding gross applicable rates and IPT, as well as discount %.
  • ARF limits at MTA are now based on the new annual premium, rather than the rebased premium amounts.
  • The download icon for document chips on the admin dashboard is now always visible to prevent display issues when the chips are hovered over.
  • The font size for the contact aside box has been reduced slightly for smaller devices, allowing more characters to be displayed on a single line.
  • The "Next renewal" date for polices (in the compliance section) is now automatically set to blank for addons, as these don't renew via CFS.
  • The footer has been revamped and tidied, to remove the Durell copyright and powered by CFS text, this allows a more white-label experience.
  • It's now possible to define multiple postcode rate mappings per insurer.

You will see these new changes available on the live site from around 1PM. If you host CFS on your own AWS instance changes will be active a little later, in line with usual release timeframes. Should you wish to not receive the update for your instance please notify us before 12pm.

Regards,
The CFS Team
