When proceeding through this for the first time, we would strongly recommend only selecting a handful of contracts to revalue, so that you can get used to the process before attempting a larger-scale run.
You can tick “List ALL online contracts” to see every contract on your system which has been selected to revalue online or you can tick “List policy selection” to display contracts based upon criteria you set in the “Policy selection” button.
Simply untick the options you do not wish to include and tick the criteria you do like to include. Here is an example of a user only opting to include Zurich International policies:
When you click “Save for bulk revaluation”, Durell will automatically ask you if you would like to ‘run the bulk updater now?’
Click “No” to carry on adding more contracts or click “Yes” to run the updater
You can load this setup next time by clicking “Load” and selecting the setup of your choice.
It can take a few minutes to run and if you have included hundreds of policies, the automatic process could take at least a quarter of an hour.
While it is up and running, you will see bulk runner begin to return results like you would see in individual contract valuations. When the bulk update is finished, you can click on “View log” to check the details on any failed or successful contract.
Tick the box labelled “Show all FAILED revaluations” to display any contract which was unsuccessful.
Similarly, enter values into the warning section and then tick the box marked “Show all revaluations with a WARNING”. This will show you any contracts where a contract or fund has changed by more than the parameter you have chosen
Additional Information:
You can clear the bulk runner of all contracts, to start from a blank list. Do this by clicking on “Revalue none” in the top left corner of the Bulk Runner window, then highlight the “List policy selection” option at the bottom of the window to refresh (and clear) the list.
