Create a New Fund
Create a New Fund
- When inputting Funds into Durell, you will need to ensure that the fund is created correctly, otherwise contracts may not revalue or give you error messages while working within them. This guide will show you how to create a new fund.
- Once you are in a policy where a new fund needs to be added, you must first go to the “Funds” screen. This is the screen with the “Contract Summary” at the bottom
- Once on the Fund screen, click on the “New” button, then on the little arrow next to the “Fund Code” box and finally on “New”
- In the new window that appears, key in as much information about the fund as possible. The key fields are “FinExpress Code”, “Type” and “Name”. Once input, click “Save”
- Once you have clicked “Save”, you can input a price for your new fund. Click on “Add” at the bottom of the window. Input the date the fund was priced at, followed by the Bid Price and click “OK” to save.
- The fund you have just created will now display the pricing you have entered.
- You will now be able to use this fund elsewhere in Durell but much more quickly.
- To find this fund again, in a different Fund screen, click on “New”, then on the arrow to the right of “Fund Code”.
- Input the fund code in the Fund Code field and click the little Green Binoculars button to search for it. Your new fund should now appear.
