Creating a Diary entry

  1. From the Durell front screen or from within a record, click on “Diary”
             
  1. You can use the “scroll buttons” to find the day you wish to create the entry on and click on that day. (this will automatically populate the date for you when you create the entry) or you can populate it later when you click the “snowflake” 
          
  1. Click on the “Snowflake”
  
  1. Click “add a diary appointment”

  1. Select the “address set” the contact is in from the drop down box (click the “all” button if you are unsure which address set they are in) Type in the contacts name or the first letter of the contact then click the “binoculars” and use the “scroll buttons” to find the contact


  1. The new entry will automatically default to the Diary you are viewing or if viewing diary for  “all users” it will default to your Diary

  1. To change the user you wish to add the appointment to, or to add the appointment to multiple users, click the button next to To user(s)

  1. Select the users you wish to add the appointment to within the popup box

  1. Select the Action from a pre-defined list in the drop down box 

  1. Alternatively if you would like to add your own summary of the appointment, you can leave the action box empty and type into the Summary box

  1. If you tick “all day event” the diary entry will appear at the top of the Diary
 
  1. If you un tick this box and choose your start and end time, it will appear within the timed schedule of the day


   
  1. You can edit or move an entry by double clicking on it.
  2. If you have created a multiple entry and you wish to apply the edit to every entry, make sure the box “Apply changes to multiple user diary entry” is ticked

  1. To delete a diary entry, click on it and either right click on the entry or click the “dustbin” and choose either to “delete a single entry” or “every appointment in group”
