Debtors & Creditors vs Balance Sheet

  1. To start, run a Balance Sheet to look at the state of the accounts, as of the end of January 2019

  1. Once you have input the report credentials as seen above, it will provide you with the Balance Sheet.
  2. We can now compare the figures witnessed in the Creditors and Debtors Control fields in the Balance Sheet by comparing with a Creditors and Debtors report, to cover the same period.
  3. The two images below, show you how to configure the report to see the Debtors report (highlights in green) and the creditors report (highlighted in red):

  1. Once you have configured the report as shown above, select the “Retrospective” tab and input the details below, to generate your report for the same period as the Balance Sheet:

  1. You will now be provided with a report, based upon whether you have configured it for the Debtors or Creditors. (This process will need to be completed twice, as you can only run the Creditors/Debtors once at a time).
  2. Once you have the report, the value at the very end of it should tally with the corresponding field in the Balance Sheet…
