Merge None Linked Claims to a Policy Record

Merge None Linked Claims to a Policy Record

  1. Firstly, find the correct client in Durell. For my example, I am using the client ‘Bulk Freight’ under ‘Business Clients’
  2. Click on the ‘Claim’ button as shown with the blue arrow, below.

  1. This will show all the claims for that client.
  2. The next task is to flag this clients claims. To do this, click on the ‘Signpost’

  1. Select mailshotting details, as shown below, click Mark Selected. Then click Close

  1. This will flag all the claims for ‘Bulk Freight’.
  2. Once this has been done click the ‘Binoculars’

  1. Then take the options to view by ‘Policy reference’, as shown below.

  1. Your ‘Claim’ screen will look similar to the one below

  1. Manually change the far right column ‘MS’ flag from ‘Y’ to ‘N’, as indicated by the arrow, by clicking on the ‘Y’ for any claims currently linked to a policy.
  2. You should then re-order by ‘Claim Number’
  3. Now you can take the option to exclude other types of claims, as you may just want to attach MF Claim to the fleet policy. So as above, you will need to set these flags to ‘N’ as well.
  4. Now you are in a position to attach the flagged claims to the selected policy.
  5. Click on the ‘Signpost’ button and take the fifth option to link claim to policy.
  6. Take the following options, as shown below. Select the policy you want to link to. Ensure that you tick the box that that says  ‘Set in all claims where mailshot = Y’

  1. This will then attach all those claims to that policy record.
  2. To check, simply go into the client record, select the required policy and click on the claim icon. Take the second option to show claims for this policy.
