Sanction Search Guide

Sanction Search Guide

In order to use the Durell Sanctions Search integration you will need to purchase an "Overdraft Balance" type account from www.SanctionSearch.com, which has an initial balance of 100 searches.

Once you have used these, you will receive an invoice for £10 and be given another 100 searches. All such Sanctions Search invoices are charged retrospectively - hence the name "Overdraft Balance" account.

When you have the account (or during the process, if you phone them) you will need to email info@professionaloffice.co.uk and advise them:

"We are a company who uses Durell Software Ltd office software; please can we have an API key (i.e. a UserID and a UserKey) for the Sanction Search integration."

Once Sanction Search respond with your UserID and User Key, you can then enter these details in Durell’s Setup screen for Sanctions Search. From the front screen in Durell, click on:

  1. Setup

  1. Sanctions Search

Once you have your API key installed, please call us on 01823 326324, as we will update your Durell licence and help you get set up.
The cost of using the Durell integration is £1+VAT per every Durell user in your company per month with a minimum of £5+VAT. Please note you can use the permissions settings in Durell to restrict individual usage of Sanctions Search, if necessary.
  1. Once you are all setup, just click the “=” button next to Sanction Search Ref field, as shown below

  1. Once you have confirmed the client or business details, press Search

  1. Text will then be displayed in the field showing you the result.

  1. If Sanctions Search thinks a client’s details is a possible match for one of their ‘flagged’ records, a window will be displayed in front of you, so you can compare the potential match against the ‘flagged’ record.

  1. You will see the client details from Durell on the left and the flagged record held by Sanctions Search on the right. Simply compare the information on the right against the information on the left.
  2. In the example above, the cases are very different and the warning from Sanctions Search can be ignored. Should you ever need assistance in comparing records, please raise a ticket and we will be happy to review the flagged record and provide further assistance.
