Toolbar Explained

  1. Most screens you go into in Durell will have our toolbar across the top.

  1. This toolbar is a broker’s main navigation around Durell.
  2. The icons:
 Exit Door

 
  1. Goes back a screen/to the main menu
The Signpost


  1. This icon is the options button and gives you a list of options relevant to the screen you’re in.
The Snowflake

 
  1. Creates a new record –i.e If you’re in the policies it will create a new policy/MTA, if you’re in the account it will create a new invoice etc.
The Bin and the Save Icon

  
  1. Fairly self-explanatory, one deletes records the other saves.
The Navigation icons

 
  1. The outer arrows jump to the first or last records, the inner arrows scroll alphabetically through the records and the binoculars opens the search window where you can search through your records by a number of criteria.
The Spectacles

 
  1. Changes the view.  Normally Durell has 2 views, a detailed view (a client/policy record) and a list view (a list of all the clients/policies you have).

The Notepad

 
  1. Where the broker can record notes about what he has done for the client, discussions he has had with the client etc.  There is also a separate notepad for each policy so the broker can record policy specific notes.
Policies

 
  1. Displays a list of the client’s policies
Document Viewer

 
  1. Displays documents attached to the client’s record.  This includes Word docs, spreadsheets, scans, pdfs, emails and audio files.  Each policy also has their own document viewer so to keep each policies documents separate.
Diary and Accounts icons

 
  1. Jumps to either the diary or the accounts section of Durell
Emails

  
  1. Opens the email dialogue box
Claims

 
  1. Opens the claims handling section of Durell where brokers can record claims
Next Arrow

 
  1. Takes you to the next screen.  In policies this will take you to the next risk screen or premium screen
Support Desk

 
  1. Opens a webpage to raise a support ticket
